Il Jaguar XK Club è un club davvero internazionale con membri in più di 50 paesi!
È per questo che nel 2013 l’ XK Club celebrerà il 65 ° anniversario della Jaguar XK120 il 9 giugno a Echternach, Lussemburgo al quale si conto di attirare 650 auto.

I non-Soci del club e tutti i possessori di XK 140 e 150 sono anche i benvenuti, nel tentativo di migliorare i record di 600 macchine che hanno partecipato alle celebrazioni del 60 ° anniversario della vettura a Goodwood/UK nel 2008.

Il fondatore del club, Philip Porter, ha detto: "Abbiamo avuto il più grande raduno annuale mondiale di Jaguar XK nel Regno Unito, ma per XK65 abbiamo deciso che il Lussemburgo sarebbe stato un luogo ideale.
"E' un bel paese, con strade perfette per la guida ed è facilmente accessibile da tanti paesi europei, tra cui, naturalmente, il Regno Unito."

Sarà basato soprattutto nella antica città di Echternach in Lussemburgo, che è ricca di storia medievale. La città si trova nella regione Mullerthal del Lussemburgo, nota come 'Piccola Svizzera', paese di viaggio ideale, con le sue alte pianure, foreste, valli coperte di muschio e imponenti castelli.

Echternach è stata proclamata 'Destinazione Europea di Eccellenza', quindi siamo sicuri che apprezzerete la città ed i suoi dintorni.

Il Sabato vedrà la possibilità di viaggiare in alcuni percorsi stupendi, e per la sera abbiamo previsto una cena assolutamente superba e molto speciale al Castello di Vianden, uno dei più grandi castelli fortificati a ovest del Reno. Anche se le sue origini risalgono al X° secolo, il castello fu costruito in stile romanico dall’XI° al XIV° secolo.

La domenica il nostro Club Day avrà sede a Echternach e daremo il benvenuto alle Jaguar XK da tutta Europa - e non solo!

The XK Club is a truly international Club with members in over 50 countries! That is why in 2013 we are hosting our 'XK65' celebrations in beautiful Echternacht, Luxembourg.

The XK Club will celebrate the 120’s 65th anniversary on 9 June in Echternach, Luxembourg and hopes to attract 650 cars.

Non-club members and all 140s and 150s are also eligble in a bid to improve on the record-breaking 600 machines that attended the car’s 60th anniversary celebrations at Goodwood in‘08.

Club founder Philip Porter said: “Traditionally, we have had the world's largest annual gathering of XKs in the UK, but for XK65 we decided Luxembourg would be an ideal venue.

"It is a lovely country with some great driving roads and it is easily accessible for so many European countries including, of course, the UK."

We will be based around the ancient abbey town of Echternach in Luxembourg, which is steeped in mediaeval history. The town lies in the Mullerthal region of Luxembourg, known as ‘Little Switzerland’, which is perfect driving country with its high plains, forests, moss-covered valleys and imposing castles.

Echternach has been proclaimed a ‘European Destination of Excellence’, so we are sure that you will appreciate the town and its surroundings.

The Saturday will see some super runs, and that evening we have planned an absolutely superb and very special dinner at Vianden Castle, one of the largest fortified castles west of the Rhine. While its origins date from the 10th century, the castle was built in the Romanesque style from the 11th to 14th centuries.

On Sunday, our Club Day will be based in Echternach and we will be welcoming XKs from all over Europe – and beyond!
